Luxe for Less: Statement Sneakers

I am a lover of statement sneakers (ok, just sneakers in general really) and I wear them both in and out of the gym. So when Karl Lagerfeld sent pastel Massaro sneakers down the runway for Chanel  Haute Couture Spring 14 I was pretty darn excited! However my excitement and my soul died slightly when the news hit that these beauties were only for Mr Lagerfeld’s special rich muses who could afford to buy a whole couture outfit plus slap down an extra $3000 Euro (roughly $4347 Aus) for the matching sneakers. Sigh…

However luckily for us mere mortals what is seen on couture runways often filters down to impact street fashion. And I have found the best matches to those luxe, lust only (well for me anyway) statement sneakers that have been gracing couture shows, runways and those lucky few that can justify the cost.

I have found a style and pair for everyone (Podiatrists rejoice!) and by the end of this post you’ll see, your fingers will be twitching to press “Add to Cart”.

First up, those to die for Couture Chanels Pastel Sneakers
