Label to Watch: Siss On Bare

How lucky are we? Perth is home to so many wonderfully talented designers and Intan Zuhuri of Siss on Bare is definitely one of them. If you have yet to hear of Siss on Bare then pay attention because this label is on the up & up – soon to be shown at Byron Bay Fashion Festival later this month, followed by KL Fashion Week in August.

Born in Malaysia, Intan has immense talent for creating elegant pieces that enable any wearer to perfect the art of layering, which was apparent in the latest Siss on Bare A/W collection titled Indie Regiment.

This season’s biggest trend utilitarian also inspired Intan, along with the sophistication of equestrian fashion for her A/W collection. This collection launched last month with a runway show where all proceeds went to the PMH Foundation. Not only is Intan very generous she is also creative. A live marching band opened the A/W runway before models strutted down the catwalk with a fierceness to rival Beyonce. The Indie Regiment featured sleek dresses, embroidered jackets with fringing and epaulets and fitted jodhpur inspired pants.  Textiles were luxe with silk and leather being the most prominent.

My top picks of the collection? The oversized jumper (perfect for weekend brunches), leather leggings, black fine knit dress with fringing and the leather one shouldered midi dress.
