Bindaring Clothing Sale

August Silk Shirt | Vintage Jenny Bannister Skirt

The annual Bindaring Clothing Sale is back on May 20th to help raise funds for the Australian Red Cross.

However if it are not familiar with Bindaring it’s hard to understand the excitement behind it but believe me it is worth getting excited for.

Bindaring has been a clothing sale event in Perth since 1964, original started by 5 friends as a garage sale (held on Bindaring Parade in Claremont) it has expanded to be the biggest 1 day fundraiser for the Australian Red Cross overtaking the Robinson Pavilion in the Claremont Showgrounds.

All monies raised at Bindaring go directly to the Australian Red Cross – a very worthy charity that helps collect life saving blood donations, provide meals for the homeless and breakfasts for school children, help vulnerable migrants, give post disaster community support and provide assistance and daily visits to the elderly.

Bindaring is a shoppers dream and there really is something for everyone from those wanting a bargain to the vintage hunters and the label lovers. The Binadring Clothing Sale features 3 sections:

  • Isabel Marant Playsuit | Vintage Belt

Op Shop is the largest area of the sale and features good condition secondhand clothing for men, women and children, all for under $15

  • Emporium is a treasure trove of vintage wonders and unique jewellery pieces. This is the place to find your statement and eclectic accessories.
  • Boutique if for all of you that love your labels. This section is full of new, nearly new and designer samples at a fraction of the original price (prices start at $20). Within Boutique you will find the Designer Edit where you will find the best of the Boutique including Australian and International labels, still at great prices, as well as the Silent Auction (often full of new & vintage from high end luxury designers such as Chanel, Prada, Chloe, YSL & Louis Vuitton).

Vintage Lanvin Dress | Vintage Belt | Chloe Handbag | Spurr Heels

The Pavilion opens at 9am with free entry, except to the Boutique which is a $2 entry fee, however it is best to arrive early!

The Australian Red Cross is such a far reaching and vital support to vulnerable communities so make sure you get down to the Claremont Showgrounds this Saturday to get your hands on some amazing, unique pieces while supporting a very worthy cause.
